L.A. Cupcake Challenge (v. 2010)

Yesterday's event was such an amazing experience, yet again. After last year's success, it was hard to imagine a larger crowd, more bakeries, and SO many cupcakes! Following a long night of baking and many weeks of planning, it was certainly an accomplishment to see it all come together. A *big* personal thanks to my friend Shawna from Trio Events who planned this stunning space for us, and also to everyone who stopped by to complement our cupcakes - you make all of this hard work worth it!

Today's Event

First of, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all 400 cupcake lovers who braved the heat to get a cupcake today! The guests were offered the best iced late in town and a cupcake of their choice.

The display case

The new Espresso Mocha cupcake, made of the organic espresso served at the coffee shop, quickly became a favorite along with the PB&J, raspberry velvet and strawberry cupcakes.

Some very patient customers!

Blue Cupcake at the Century City Farmer's Market

Our little company took a big step last week when we started offering our delicious cupcakes at the Century City farmer's market. The response from the local crowd was simply amazing. We are looking forward to offering 5 different variety each week this fall and winter every Thursday, from 11 to 2, at the Century City farmer's market.

Where is it located?
1800 Avenue of the Stars (Los Angeles), at the corner of Santa Monica

The Blue Cupcake kiosk - work in progress!
"I just had to email you to tell you how AMAZING your cupcakes are. My co-worker and I just bought a dozen of the mini ones and cannot stop trying them. (...) Just wanted to say thanks for making my day at the office. Great stuff!!!!"

Mini cupcakes by the dozen. This week flavors included chocolate, red velvet, vanilla, lemon and coconut.

More Good Press...

Words can't describe how amazing it is to read what people have to say about Blue Cupcake. I do this as a passion and it is truly unbelievable to receive this kind of recognition. Once more, the Cupcake Queen honors Blue Cupcake with this posting (and I also get an invitation for cupcakes and coffee!). And my cupcakes get a "sexy" rating from Toronto based Culinary Seductions - read all about it in this review.

Now time to go and decorate more cupcakes! I promise you a special posting tomorrow... :)
