Today at the L.A. Cupcake Challenge
Just want to say a big THANK YOU to all who came to say hello and sample our cupcakes! Thanks for your support and making this day a big success! Here are some pictures from the event.
The Blue Cupcake Challenge Team: Megan, Julie (myself!) and Claudia
I love all of your amazing work! I am so impressed by your work with fondant. I do have one question though, I have seen so many professionals using fondant, but do people actually eat it? Like the figurines and the layer covering the cake? Just been wondering for a while! Thank you!
Hi ABJ, this is a good question. I use a cheaper but very stable fondant to create the toppers and the figurines. The kids usually eat that stuff. But when I cover a cake or cupcake with fondant, then I use a white chocolate base fondant, very soft, rolled thin and the taste is also quite good!
I came across your website looking for a snoppy cake...I felt in love with your cup cakes! I think they are the greatest! I wish you were in Houston :(
This looks wonderful. Please let us know how did it go...!
ReplyDeleteIt must have been so much fun! What cute cupcakes!
