Rapunzel Cake

So many (MANY!) hours went into this cake! It has a lot of details, textures, more details, piping work, more and more details... Huge thanks to my handy husband who imagined and built the super solid structure that made building the tower possible, and also making it to destination in one piece possible! And thank you to my dear client who trusted my abilities in creating her twin daughters' dream cake. Please tell me what you think!

    Let me start by saying absolutely magical! Dear Julie thank you so so so... much for taking on this amazing project for our princesses. I knew you would be the only one who could pull this fantastic creation off. We were all blown away we saw this gorgeous cake.     I'm about to take on making a Rapunzel cake. This is by far the best one I've seen...it's beautiful. Would you share with me what the tower is made of?

    Michelle, the tower is made of rice treats, of course it has support inside. The key is to take your time to get the shape right, then add the decorative details! Have fun!

    Julie, this is beautiful, is the tower (the pole) a pipe and then covered w/RKT? and the builiding tower section on top of the pole...is that all RKT or did you use styrafoam and then covered it w/RKT?
